Business Successful Story.

Business principles successful story

Being successful in professional life or business does not just come. Success does not just happen overnight. It takes time and effort. The people we are calling successful are the ones who have practised skill and have continued working on the ability repeatedly for an extended period. Sometimes success has nothing to do with school education, but rather applying principles with a disciplined mind and having the passion of improving on it every time.
The statements above can be illustrated in Jimmy’s story. From a wretched of neediness, Jimmy always wanted to be a business person since the age of 10. However, originating from a weak foundation; this fantasy appeared unrealistic to work out because destitution can either make you think beyond practical boundaries or little.

Neither the big nor the small dream side was in Jimmy in the course journey of his life. At age 15, Jimmy’s dreams died because the society demanded more for education and a white-collar job. The education system planted a seed of taking in information without understanding the reason why they are taking it in, how to apply it, and what it meant for his future.

The culture of critical thinking was over-shadowed, and deep leaning was not exercised. Years past and Jimmy was now in his late 20s when his dream of owning a business came to life. He was dissatisfied with his job, and the deep burning desire of taking ownership of his career was becoming apparent. Months and three years past with this battling desire, until when he was 32 when his idea got implemented. Despite an idea taking long to mature, what is important is the implementation. It is worth noting that thoughts take time to materialise. They come in a piecemeal and with the progression of the years they come to life. Ideas can even take 5 to 10 years to fully develop.
At the age of 32, Jimmy quite his job and started running his own company. It took him four years to start realising a profit. While some were quitting along the way, Jimmy knew that running a business required a lot of effort, discipline, consistency, hard work and continuous learning. Competition in the market is on the rise and doing things repeatedly the same way you did two to three years ago would not be wise. Moreover, he had become uneducated with the progression of time.
Becoming uneducated is easy; all it takes is to stop reading and learning from anything. Whether you are running your own business or you are working as a profession, it is vital to educate yourself continuously. That way, you learn more and improve your skill or grow your business successfully.
But Jimmy had become uneducated due to the high demanding of work. Although he was a top performer in the organisation, he was operating. Jimmy faced a lot of challenges as he ran his own business. The problems pointed to the education system of memorising the facts and reproducing them during the time of the exam. Jimmy had only acquired 10 % of what he could remember and apply. Despite working in a prestigious company, the company had processes that were already in place. The process just called for people to fit in.
Surrounded by this type of mindset, conditioning was not Jimmy’s fault. Still, understanding that something needs to change without doing anything about it is a problem. Here is what Jimmy did when he discovered that his objective was to grow his business. He started acquiring new knowledge about the industry; his company was operating. The learning did not happen in a week, months or a year. But it happened for 2 years, 6 months of continuously learning and acquiring new skills necessary to grow an inch of his business.
Discipline, coupled with curiosity and passion was a great indication that this person was going to be successful.

Jimmy worked hard for his business and the learnt skill to communicate also paid off. He became good at connecting with the customer and making them buy from him more often. He knew very well that without customers, the business becomes history.

It is true when they say that hard work combined with smart work always pays off. The only thing we need to consider is continuous improvement on the acquired skills and constantly updating ourselves with new knowledge needed to perform better”.
